Shree Kalluri, Founder, CEO, President & Chief Customer OfficerDisparate systems, point solutions, and fragmented adoption across departments are presenting real challenges for the eClinical trial management industry and raising compliance risks for organizations. Therefore, CIOs are constantly searching for standards-based, proven systems that can be implemented enterprise-wide to streamline operations for their research teams. Headquartered in Madison, WI, Forte provides software and services to enable cancer centers, academic medical centers and health systems to identify bottlenecks, remove barriers, and ease the administrative burden of conducting clinical research. “Our mission is to help customers streamline their clinical trial operations to save time and resources, while allowing them to focus on science and patient care,” says Shree Kalluri, Founder, CEO, President, & Chief Customer Officer, Forte.
Taking a customer-centric approach in the eClinical trial arena, Forte has carved a niche for itself by providing value-based clinical research solutions. Committed to improving clinical research outcomes through standards-based software and services, Forte focuses on three key areas— clinical trial management, clinical data management, and research administration.
Forte’s flagship system for enterprise clinical trial management, OnCore, can be integrated with the customers’ current EMR system to ensure patient safety, improve billing compliance, and increase operational efficiency. The system also offers customers full visibility into their research-related activities such as operations management, financial management, and comprehensive reporting. In addition, Forte’s analytics platform Insights, helps customers gain actionable information about their organization to improve operational strategies. OnCore also centralizes billing information across various teams and technology, including the customer’s EMR system, to help ensure a compliant billing process. As organizations in the biotechnology space are expanding to enable more clinical data exchange, Forte works diligently to reduce the administrative burden for its customers by centralizing operations across systems.

In an instance, Forte implemented OnCore and Cerner EMR integration for Atrium Health, formally known as Carolinas Health System, to address its concern over patient and subject identification across a healthcare system with over 900 locations and over 11 million annual patient encounters. By connecting the OnCore and EMR systems, Forte enhanced patient safety and improved workflows within Atrium Health’s clinical research department.
Forte closely collaborates with its customers to identify unsolved problems and gain deep insights into their operational needs. “We gather our customers twice a year through our Onsemble conference, where the nation’s leading clinical research professionals share best practices, address current challenges and support one another,” says Kalluri. As a company, Forte strongly believes in collaborating with its customers on challenges and needs, and many conferences result in new products and innovations that serve the entire community. This collaboration, coupled with stellar customer support from a knowledgeable team, has led to a wide adoption of Forte’s technologies within the research community.
Forging ahead Forte continues to collaborate with large, complex academic research organizations, including NCI-designated cancer centers and NIH-CTSA (Clinical and Translational Science Award) institutions to develop solutions that increase operational efficiencies and help customers unleash their research potential.
